Cynthia Kimball's Bio
Consultant ~ Journalist ~ Speaker ~ Trainer
Cynthia Kimball is a hope-based consultant and doctoral student in Workforce Educational Leadership. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a columnist and journalist, community and technical college faculty, patient educator, technical college administrator, and workplace learning & performance (WLP) consultant.
Cynthia taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Japan and worked alongside Utah Haiti Relief as a journalist in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
Cynthia's research interests revolve around: Appreciative Inquiry Change Theory, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS) (most notably the Broaden-and-build theory of positive emotions), and hope-based leadership and teaching.
Cynthia says, "All of the above is nice," as Zappos CEO, Tony Hsieh, has said, "but what is of utmost importance is helping someone find their greatness and watching that unfold."
