FAQ

Why the emphasis on everyone counts and everyone matters?

There are leaders of companies, coaches of sports teams, even parents who don’t believe they count or matter. What we’ve found is that if a person doesn’t believe they count or matter, chances are neither will the people that follow them. When you think about this in terms of an employer to employee, employee to employee or even employee to customer relationship, the bottom line is severely affected. It’s amazing how many people get up every day, but don’t feel like they belong or have purpose. We help individuals and teams find the latter. After that, the bottom line usually takes care of itself.

How long does it take for a company to be on the same sheet of music in terms of a healthy culture?

It depends on a few factors. How large the organization is. How committed the leadership is. How much a company is willing to invest and not just monetarily, but time-wise. Often times we see leaders who don’t show up for training, but want all other employees to attend. That doesn’t go over very well. We’ve found that all need to be at training. And that holding refresher trainings throughout the year, after the initial training classes, works best. Another thing that doesn’t work well, for instance, is leadership agreeing to a new type of training every six months. We’ve seen a lot of fly by night trainings. They don’t invest the time in seeing one training program to fruition. But when they do, it could take months or even years, again, depending on the factors first mentioned, for all to be on the same sheet of music in terms of a healthy culture.
